Jamaican Hurricane Relief Dinner

  • 15th St Farm 342 15th St N St Petersburg United States (map)

Leverage your impact by providing needed seeds to affected Farmers. Farmers restoring their fields are in need of seeds to regain their livelihoods and help their communities. We will speed up the recovery from the hurricane devastation by leveraging the determination of the Farming communities. When Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica, the damage went far beyond roads and rooftops. An estimated 47,500 vegetable farmers across six parishes lost their crops, seed stores, and income overnight. Fields that once fed families were left barren. Across the island, over one-third of all farmland was damaged.

Our goal is to help 10% of those farmers over time, providing seeds to replant thousands of acres and restore livelihoods. A $10 seed donation enables a farmer to grow $100 worth of food through their labor—the most efficient and effective way to help.** Menu may vary slightly to reflect seasonal harvests and ingredient availability

We are partnering with 15th Street Farm and ECHO Global Farms to provide seeds, free technical assistance, and sustainable farming methods adapted to the local climate. This partnership ensures every seed planted has the best chance of becoming a thriving harvest.

Your evening includes: A vibrant Jamaican dining experience, a guided farm tour, an art auction featuring original works, and direct support for seed distribution to farming communities in Jamaica.

Additional online donations are welcome to support ongoing shipments and future planting cycles. Join us for an evening where good food meets real impact and help farmers return to their fields.
