Register here for Handmade Holidays: Natural fabric dyeing

Embrace the changing seasons with this creative hands-on workshop, led by Teaching Artist Bailey Gumienny in natural fabric dyeing! Using materials like leaves, onion skins, and butterfly pea flowers, you’ll learn how to create beautiful, organic colors and patterns on fabric. Each participant will receive a pair of white cotton socks to dye, and you’re welcome to bring one additional natural-fiber garment of your own. Please let us know your sock size with your registration so we can have a pair ready for you!

If you’re also enrolled in the Sweet Potato Block Printing workshop, you can bring your printed tea towel to dye as well. All materials are provided, and aprons are available, just come ready to explore nature’s palette and enjoy an evening of creative discovery.
