About the Instructor:

Anna is a warm & welcoming passionate student of life & lover of the earth. With her personal yoga practice spanning 12+ years and teaching practice of 3+ years, it’s an integral part of her daily life and never fails to connect her to her mind, body, spirit, and breath. Yoga has allowed her to discover ways to feel through the human experience deeply, intimately, and intentionally.

She’s a RYT 500-hour teacher trained in Varkala, Kerala, South India (based in Sivananda & B.K.S Iyengar hatha & ashtanga, restorative & gentle flows, Himalayan traditions in pranayama & meditation, and Ayurvedic foundations). Her asana classes are typically very grounding & embodying, with consistent breath-to-body awareness and intentionality.

She holds hundreds of hours in certifications amongst other healing modalities obtained in Rishikesh, India - Tibetan sound healing therapy, marma & holistic oil massage, foot reflexology, and reiki II attuned. She is the founder and owner of Oma Yoga & Healing, which offers personalized and group healing sessions. She intuitively combines all of the deeply rooted ancient Vedic techniques and knowledge she’s acquired to cater towards each individual's needs - both physically & energetically.

She creates a safe space for others to bring awareness to sensations throughout the body during their practice or healing session, while utilizing pranic energy to move through any arising discomfort; physically, mentally, or emotionally. Through encouraging equanimity to these discomforts, she emphasizes the integration of this practice outside of class or healing session, and into day-to-day life to move with love, gratitude, compassion, and acceptance for all beings, including themselves.

When she’s not on her mat, you can find her immersed in nature, backpacking through a new country, scuba diving, dancing at music festivals, creating stick & poke tattoos, road-tripping, camping, surfing, lounging at the beach, spending time with her partner or family, or curled up with a good book and cup of tea.
